Having a glance at the lives of the divine prophets, we can see that they paid attention to the individual and social lives of the leaders of the societies, either in this world or the other world. Moreover, along their vocations, not only did they fight against doctrinal and moral deviations, but they also fought against Social, economic and political deviations and they did their best to redress them. But secularism is a theory that emphasizes the limitations of the role of religion in life and one of the secular main demands is the separation of religious institution from government. Secularists believe that religion is something individual and it should not interfere in life affairs such as government. In the other words, Secularists want a government independent of religion. Thus, the aim of this library research which is problem -oriented, with an Analytical method, is twofold. First, it tries to achieve Alavi approach in the field of religion and politics .Second, it tries to criticize the theory of secularism which is the separation of religion from politics based on the words of Imam Ali (pbuh).

Abstract Understanding the earth and its related issues is so diverse that has created an independent science called geology, and makes the mind of any person curious as to how these issues have been precisely known and explained in the Quran, Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)’s miracle and Imam Ali (pbuh)’s Nahj’albalaghah. This means that the Quran, at the time of its presence, has explained scientific issues based on the available scientific capacity [of the people]. This paper, using Quran verses and the valuable saying of Imam Ali (pbuh), has reviewed the available sciences in this text regarding the creation, shape, movement, creatures, end etc. of the earth and has finally made a comparison between these texts and present geology.

‘Sending back the sun’ is a miracle performed by Imam Ali (PBUH) and the tradition proving this miracle plays a significant part in substantiating Imam Ali’s (PBUH) legitimacy for the position of leadership and guardianship. Therefore, from the advent of Islam onwards, various and considerable effort has been made to understand this tradition and to make it known; Imam Ali (PBUH) himself has attempted to clarify this on the day of consultation and his friends and companions have done the same in different historical periods. This paper classifies and analyzes the views of the jurists, theologians, poets and historians with regard to this tradition and how it is used in religious principles. The paper ends with confirming this hypothesis that this tradition of ‘sending back the sun’ – which has a special application and is addressed substantially in different branches of religious studies – is undeniable and this can be an adequate response to the ideas of those who oppose this tradition.
