In the interpretation of the Quran through the Quran, one of the pieces of evidence is paying attention to the context of the verses. Therefore, Allameh Tabatabai, who paid careful attention to the interpretation of the Quran through the Quran in Almizan, regarded the contexts of the verses with special attention. More specifically, he has used this word over 2111 times to explain the verses and hadiths. This study, unlike previous studies that only investigated some aspect of the context of the Almizan, investigates the whole aspect of the context in Almizan through analytical and descriptive methods based on two axes: positive and negative macro-discourse. Fourteen different functions in the context of positive actions such as the expression of religious rituals, dating the verses, explaining ambiguities, explaining the meaning of the verses, and determining the meaning of words were determined. Likewise, three approaches regarding the context of thenegative performance were determined.

Knowing human nature is one of the vital subjects of the Holy Quran, tradition, mysticism, and Islamic philosophy. By this knowledge, entity and essence of human will be distinguished from other animals. The writer of this assay has tried to explain the nature and quality of human destiny from Allameh tabatabai’s point of view. Allameh in his various books- especially in Commentary of Almizan holds very profound ideas about the nature and destiny of human being. In short, from his point of view, knowing human nature get us to know human destiny because human is both an infinite creature and religious existent. It is clear that this kind of entity has a free will to choose his destiny. In other words, freewill and religion orientation of human are necessary for his creation and nature, and his perfection lies in observing religion.

Throughout history, women have always been ignored, and their independent identities have been subject to damages worse than the physical abuse by the social systems governing different societies. Although there have been some attempts to improve the status of women, there has been no significant change in this regard and their inferior status has continued as there has seldom been any attempt focusing on reviving woman’s dignity. During the movement of monotheism, the leaders have paid more attention to the restoration of the personality and independence of people, with the aim of breaking with the deviated and sorrowful status of this world and going toward God. Moreover, feeling secure, in terms of existence, away from being female or male, is being pursued so as to make way for presence which is a prominent feature of human in everyday social activities. Among numerous acts against misogyny, the act of the Prophet (pbuh) in his time against misogynous social contracts was a giant stride forward. Furthermore, if women had wanted to disobey those contracts, they would have faced much anxiety and depression so that they would have lost their motivation in taking part in social activities. Therefore, the prophet (pbuh) was able to pave the way for respecting women in its best way by kissing his daughter’s hand, respecting his wife, accepting economic independence of the women, etc. This proved that not only should not woman be looked down, but also they should be looked up so as they will be able to take part in social activities more confidently.

Intercession, referring to mediating for the forgiveness of the sins of sinners, has been continuously the focus of attention for various Islamic sects. If intercession, as understood by the masses, indeed exists in the divine system, it would be in contradiction with divine justice, and it would violate of divine law. On the other hand, Allah the Most Merciful in the Holy Quran in verses 48 and 123 of al-Baqqārah rejects intercession, zar and zur as existing in the divine system, but in many verses, especially verse 44 of surah al-Zumar, it is clear that intercession exists and is exclusive to Allah and His agents In this essay, the author first explains the concept of intercession from the perspective of verses and narratives, and then examines the views of Allamah Tabataba’i and a number of the Islamic thinkers through an analytical method.

Coherence, factors and coherence relationships seem to be a simple issue at first glance, but a more careful look at the subject indicates that cohesion factors play an important role in communicating as the main task of the language. In this research, the importance of the coherence factors in the translation of the Holy Quran in English has been emphasized. In this study, it became clear that neglecting the coherence factors in the translation of the Qur'an leads to non-coherent and non-quality translations. The authors try to investigate the reason how the Qur'an translators can provide precise, eloquent, coherent and acceptable translations that are closer to the text of the Qur'an. Therefore, the researchers have selected three translators of the Qur'an (John Abery who is Christian, Tahereh Safarzadeh, Muslim and Shiite, Abdullah Yusuf Ali, Muslim and Sunni) and also they have chosen two coherent factors of "references" and "contrasts" among the coherent factors based on the Holliday and Hassan model (In research on textual coherence, scholars have put more of Halliday and Hassan's theories in general as a model of work, and have done their research based on them). Accordingly, the authors of this article have examined the translations of three translators for these two coherence factors based on the model in verses 21 to 35 of Yusuf's surah and they also mention their translation differences. Eventually, it became clear that John Arberry had done a more precise, more accurate, more eloquent, and more complete translation than two other translators; because he has been careful about the coherence factors, and he has considered those factors in his translation. As a result, his translation is more acceptable and closer to the source text (Quran).

Each of the three monotheistic religions (Islam, Judaism, and Christianity) has their own scriptures, and all of these scriptures, from the time of Adam (A) to the Prophet (PBUH), have offered the same guidelines, namely the invitation to monotheism. Furthermore, these books have the same origin and share many similarities. For example, one of these significant similarities is the stories of the Prophets, and so commentators of the Holy Quran, in their interpretations, take advantage of the content of the Bible. Actually, identifying the commentators' approaches, in taking advantage of the Bible, helps us understand the commentators' stance toward the content of the Bible and its usage in their interpretation. Using the descriptive-analytical method, this article investigates the commentators' approaches towards the use of the Bible and concludes that commentators generally adopt four approaches in the use of the Bible: Maximum Proof, Minimum Proof, Negation, and Dual approaches. Each of them used the Bible differently, as some of them, criticize the content of the Bible and the others use it for explanatory purposes

Stylistics as a branch of modern linguistics always strives to examine the text in terms of aesthetics, regardless of history, society and the life of its author, which extratextual matters. Studying the Surahs of the Quran from this point of view indicates that the Quran is a technical, precise, timeless and super-human text and has a unique and consistent structure. The framework of stylistics includes a review of phonology, vocabulary, sequences, definite or indefinite structures, singular and plural words, repetition, nominal or verbal sentences, and types of questions and so on. The present study examines the aesthetic and stylistic aspects of the Surah Al-Qamar through a descriptive-analytical method, while taking into account the unique context of the Surah itself. The result of the study revealed that, given the context of the Surah, words, sentences, and letters have been used artistically in a unique sequence and position. The words serve the meaning perfectly, and the meaning has affected the choice of words, in a way that it would not be possible to modify, move, or make a suggestion in order to alter and transform the text.

In his sequence of revelation theory, Noldeke uses various tools to discover the sequence of revelation. One of his most utilized and basic tools is "style". The present paper seeks to identify and study Noldeke's use of this tool with a descriptive-analytical method. It explains and evaluates his understanding of the "style" and its application in this theory. The study shows that he considers the "style" as a way of expressing the meaning, purpose, and type of expressions used in the text. He uses "style" to determine the four-phase chronology of his theory, to separate some verses from surah, and to detect how a surah is descended. He also uses it as an instrument to testify other tools for discovering the sequence of revelation. However, his method to use "style" for discovering the sequence of revelation is incomplete and inaccurate, which has prevented Noldeke from achieving true and accurate results.

Traditions and so all the habits, behavior and rules that a person learns from the community, as a member of the community. By understanding the concept of Jahiliyat (ignorance) in the Quran and Nahjolbalagha, we lead to the contrast of ignorance with wisdom and forbearance. Wisdom Is a comprehensive concept that includes knowledge, understanding, and intellection of affairs and obedience of God's commands and practicing deeds and righteousness. On the contrary, ignorance is a virtue burner attribute that destroys knowledge, understanding, and obedience to God's commands. Jahiliyat (Ignorance) is not limited to a period of time and therefore Quran has divided it into the "first" and "last". Imam Ali (AS) has enumerated several tips about the features of the pre-Islamic era (Jahiliyat). These features can be divided into two main aspects: Tips about the Religious culture of that age, and tips about its social culture. The present article argues each of the two types discussed above with six components, with an Analytic-descriptive method.

The narrations of the causes of revelation have long been considered the focus of commentators and thinkers of the Qur'an and one of the tools for understanding the divine purpose. However, inflictions such as the conflict between the authenticity of the interpretive narrations and their content incompatibility with the context, history, and common sense are also evident in this part of the narrations, which deprives them of trust. In this paper, the narrations of the observer are due to the revelation of the first five verses of Surah Al-Hujurat. The reasons for the revelation of this surah, regardless of the differences in interpretations and differences between the narrators of the fourteen different types of narrations, are different. However, according to the content of the verses of their revelation, there is no doubt about the occurrence of a specific current that is not properly reported in the narrations. Also, some narrations are such that the possibility of correcting or distorting them based on verbal motives is not far from the mind.

The Holy Qur'an is a divine revelation to guide man to the straight path. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the first preacher, commentator and exponent of the Holy Qur'an. His biography shows the right way for people to interact and communicate with the Holy Qur'an. After that, according to the hadith of Thaqalain, the only ones who were qualified to explain and interpret the Qur'an were the Ahl al-Bayt (AS). Therefore, only the Holy Prophet and the Imams (AS) can teach Muslims the correct way to communicate and benefit from the Holy Qur'an. In the school of Ahl al-Bayt, in addition to emphasizes the outward etiquette of communicating with the Qur'an, such as performing ablutions, brushing one's teeth before reciting, looking at the Holy Qur'an, being silent while reciting, reciting with a sad voice, reciting in recitation, reciting prayers, and so on. Prior to recitation, great emphasis has been placed on the esoteric etiquette of communication; Etiquettes such as contemplation in the verses of the Holy Qur'an, having sincerity in recitation, expressing humility and tenderness of heart while reciting, making oneself the addressee of the word of revelation and considering oneself the addressee of God's commands and prohibitions. Emphasis on esoteric etiquette of communication in the school of Ahl al-Bayt has a much higher status and its main distinguishing feature from other schools; Because in this case, an effective and constructive human relationship is established with the Qur'an, and not merely emphasizing the apparent etiquette of reciting the Holy Qur'an. The main purpose of this article is to show the difference between the positive and effective interaction of the school of Imams (AS) from other schools in esoteric affairs.

Intertextuality is a theory that focuses on the necessary interconnection between the texts and studies how the texts related to each other. applying this theory in the field of Qur’an and Hadiths is effective in explaining the deep connection between Qur’an and Etrat (prophet's family). Thus, in this article, we seek to study the intertextual connection between the Holy Qur’an and Ṣaḥīfa al-Sajjādiya on the issue of evil (Satan). Applying a Descriptive-Analytic study, we aim to expand a new horizon on the interpretation of the Prayers. The knowledgeable relation between Imam Sajjad's thoughts and Holy Qur’an paves the way to compromise between the underlying text and presenting text. Like the Holy Qur’an, Ṣaḥīfa al-Sajjādiya deals with Evil's attributes and practices. most of the prayers of Ṣaḥīfa al-Sajjādiya on overcoming Evil are deeply understood only in the light of their interconnection with the Holy Qur’an. meticulously studying the prayers of Ṣaḥīfa al-Sajjādiya, we conclude that most of the intertextual connection between Holy Qur’an and the prayers are reflected in a parallel negation in which Imam Sajjad (AS) makes a compromise between the underlying and presenting text and as a result provides a knowledgeable connection with the text. relying on Qur’anic terms Imam Sajjad (AS) explains the following issues in his prayers: Satan's temptation and devious, Evil seduction, beautifying the false actions by him, overcoming Evil by the power of prayers, protecting the children from Evil through prayers, prayers protect us from being Evil companions, etc.

This divine book calls on the general public to understand the Qur'an and implement it in their lives in any way they can. Thinking, reasoning, jurisprudence, and ... . One of the ways to understand the Holy Qur'an is to ponder that in the present era it is associated with a great welcome of Qur'anic thinkers and is always discussed. Contemplation in the Qur'an is taught in different ways, one of which is studied, analyzed, and criticized in this research. The present study has tried to study and critique the method of "surah-based contemplation in the Qur'an" in Iran with a descriptive-analytical method and examine its functions in Iran and other Islamic societies. The results of this study were that the followers of this method intend to invent a new method with simple training and smooth contemplation, but it seems that their contemplation method is very close to interpretive methods and it can be said that the contemplation in This is the way it is taught, it is the interpretation. The only difference observed with the interpretation is the complete recitation of the surah after passing each of the stages of contemplation along the surah, drawing diagrams, and praying at the end of the surah.

The chants of Imam Ali (AS) in Kufa contain strength and depth of the structure and meaning. This paper studies the chants by the descriptive-analytical stylistics method. Prayer and chants are both dialogues with God, but a chant is a kind of warm conversation with God. Repeating the words not only decreases the eloquence but also improves it; in addition, it’s proportional to the atmosphere and the requirements of the chant. It could be understood that the words are used in the best place by analyzing and understanding the meaning of words and similar words. Use of the present tense, subjective and objective nouns in accordance with the asked meaning in the chant. Additionally, using the conjunctive letter "and" incessantly, in sentences make it more dynamic and interconnected.

In the legal systems of Islam and of the Islamic Republic of Iran there exist certain differences in laws for men and women, which are sometimes subject to questions or criticism. One such issue is the inequality of men and women in inheritance and diya. An examination of Islamic juridical and legal rules reveals that ‘diya’ is described as blood money by some authorities in the subject, as a penalty by some others, and as restitution by others, while some other authorities consider it as having penal, substitutionaryand compensational, and preventive aspects. Moreover, the philosophy behind the difference between men and women with regards to ‘diya’ and inheritance is informed by another characteristic feature of the Islamic legal system, the one which burdens men with the responsibility of headship of the family and paying for the family expenses.

Hermeneutics as the science of understanding and interpretation of scriptures has been practiced by scholars and intellectuals since the time of Socrates and Plato, and even earlier,as is sometimes argued. In Greek writings, there exist many books and treatises in the field written by a number of thinkers including Plato and Aristotle. In the Biblical context, hermeneutics was employed in the interpretation of the Testaments by Christian theologians from Augustine of Hippo(the 5thcentury) to Schleiermacher (the 18th century). Much effort was devoted to the field by Schleiermacher, followed by further great steps afterwards, and by the time of Wilhelm Dilthey, hermeneutics was employed in understanding intentions of the speaker. However, as a result of the French Revolution and with the advent of Dechristianisation, many great linguists and philosophers including Claude Lévi-Strauss, Michel Foucault, Umberto Eco, and more recently Martin Heidegger and Hans-Georg Gadamer used hermeneutics for understanding the text itself, suggesting that hermeneutics and the interpretive methodology help the reader to understand the text regardless of the speaker/author. This paper seeks to explore various periods of the history of hermeneutics from early times up to the late 20th century. Moreover, it examines the changes in scholars’ viewpoints regarding arbitrariness of the language as was discussed in semiology, as well as the study of language as a phenomenon, which led to language being regarded as a branch of phenomenology. Finally,it deals with longitudinal and latitudinal(metatextual and intertextual) interpretations upon which a special interpretation of the Qur’an is then suggested, arguing that interpretation of the verses of the Qur’an has no congruity with Macherian or Heideggerian hermeneutic interpretations and is of a totally different kind.

Shiite narrative and prayer sources are full of pithy prayers issued by the infallible (Imams). Some of these prayers are offered to ask God to solve problems and troubles, especially the healing of diseases. But there must be a reason for attributing anything to the Imams. Assessing the validity of sources and narration books is one of the ways to check the validity of hadiths and prayers. Identifying books and sources of medical prayers is the first step to accessing and using these valuable works. This article uses library resources and descriptively-analytically recognizes the most important sources of medical prayers and validates them. First, we have introduced the sources that have dedicated a special chapter to this subject throughout history in the field of prayer or hadith collection. Then the most famous and extensive books of prayer and narration “Mafatih Al-Jannan and Bihar Al-Anwar” have been studied and the sources used by them have been extracted. The results of examining the sources of these two books are almost identical. The book "Teb al-Aemeh (AS)" by Abdullah and Hussein Ibn Bastam and Makarem al-Akhlaq by Tabarsi are the main sources of medical prayers, which unfortunately do not have enough credibility. But many healing prayers are mentioned in prayer sources, and by collecting them, a collection of authentic medical prayers can be donated to the devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

From among the narrations of the immaculate Imams (PBUT), those narrations which are concerned with the cause of their descent, the explanation of the simple elements and concepts or those that discuss the applicability of the verses, etc. are used for the interpretation of the Qur’an's effect. However, another group of narrations merely describe certain Quranic verses and chapters and these narrations provide for the ‘description of the Qur’an's effect’. These narrations refer to differing qualities of Quranic verses and chapters; the narrations which have discussed the impact of reciting particular chapters or those narrations that consider some verses as more valuable than the others are some examples. The present paper classifies these narrations, explains them and discusses their practical and scientific efficiency and makes an essential comparison between these narrations and the interpretive ones. This paper is solely an introduction into a more general theory and research field and attempts to contribute to the better practical and scientific understanding of the ‘Description of the Qur'an's Effect’ by the researchers of the science of the Qur’an and narrations so that they adopt a different perspective towards these narrations, attend to them and use them.

The sacred religion of Islam is founded on human nature. The issue of God's ancient covenant with humanity that has been discussed several times in the Qur'an, also refers to this innateness. It is worth noting that all rules of Islam, including obligational rules that are based on the determination and authorization of free will on human beings, and conventional rules that are God’s ordinance in the everyday life of humans, are corresponding to the good and evil. This means that if someone abides by a religious law and prescript, it will be to his advantage, and if a person abstains from Haram (forbidden) deeds, he will free himself from the evil in this world and the afterlife. It also goes for conventional rules. If a person gets married according to religious principles and fathers a child, it will work to his advantage, but if he follows the temptation of the despotic soul and follows the path of Sheitan (Satan) and fathers a child, he will get corrupted. This also goes for taqiyya (prudent dissimulation) as one of the Islamic rules. If someone is obligated to do taqiyya, and fails to do so, he will damage himself and his faith, and if he follows that rule, it will work to his advantage and he will save himself and his faith from the evil. This article has attempted to elaborate on taqiyya as one of the rules of Islam and discuss the philosophy behind it to some extent, then discuss the role of Masouman (The Immaculate Imams) (pbut), especially Imam Reza, in explaining this important Divine rule.

An important question here is whether this principle and other issues relevant to it, particularly the way the universe is emanated from God, have any origin in the Qur'an and narrations or not. This paper investigates and assesses the views of some Islamic hakims (sages) and mystics (‘ārifs), particularly the views of the contemporary hakim, Mirzā Mehdi Modarres Āshtiani (RIP) about a number of Quranic verses which are concerned with this issue as well as the ideas of the author of the paper.

Abstract Communication is one of the important issues extensively discussed in most of the fields of the humanities. From among the issues related to communication, rhetorical verbal communication—with the focus on the Quran—is one of the most valuable rhetorical, literary, and Quranic concerns examined in this article. Communication has been of great importance for human lives. It has been so important that from the beginning prophets have paid close attention to it and described different ways of communicating with others. It has also had a great and specific place in philosophy. Not surprisingly, these days because of the increase in different ways of communication and the formation of the global village, it has, to a large extent, found its due attention. That is why numerous researchers and scientists have examined it. From among different types of communication, the importance of verbal communication is more conspicuous, as it can have positive and negative impacts on human’s life or even change or end his life. This is so because man has no way but to communicate. More importantly, the Quran has profoundly focused on it; it has artfully and wisely considered rhetorical verbal communication, the perfect form of communication. A good many studies should be carried out in order to get to know it more. To this end, this article aims to present a small portion of this huge truth. In so doing, it deals with rhetorical verbal communication, different types of rhetorical communication, and its characteristics in order to open up new avenues for further research.

Ibn Arabī's views on caliphate and leadership after the decease of the Apostle of God (God bless him and his household), are of special quality. He first discusses these issues in a way that makes the reader think he is talking about gnostic caliphate and leadership and not the theological views of the Shi'ites and the Sunnites. However, a closer scrutiny of his views reveals that in his own particular fashion, Ibn Arabī has in fact focused on the theological views of the Sunnites; he has amazingly substantiated the caliphate of the first and the second caliphs by relying on the consensus of the Companions of the Prophet and by assigning originality to it. He has ignored all texts and rulings on caliphate and leadership which are attributed to the holy Prophet (PBUH); he then quotes some traditions of multiple attestation like Hadīth al-Thaqalayn and Hadīth al-Ghadīr with distortion. In the next part he deals with ijtihād (interpretive reasoning) of the religious scholars, justifies all their mistakes and errors and exonerates them all. The present study has explored, within the scope of a paper, the views of Ibn Arabī from different angles and has then criticized them one by one

This research, with a descriptive-analytical and comparative method, has proved these results that in Buddhist teachings, some factors such as dependence and ignorance are introduced as causing suffering, but the causal chain and the rings of suffering include 1. ignorance, 2. hidden tendencies, 3. sensitivity 4. name and shape 5. six domains of sensation 6. decay (contact) 7. sensation 8. thirst 9. attachment 10. existence 11. Birth 12. Aging and death, sorrow, and despair are known to be the source of suffering. Induction in the teachings of the Qur'an and hadiths also shows the types of suffering and their origin into three types: 1. Need and dependence 2. Suffering arising from the disease and its origin; the type of attitude of people towards exams, ignorance of the wisdom of afflictions, and attachment to the world and 3. Suffering due to acquisitions and their origin; system of beliefs and ideas; properties and feelings and wrong actions and behaviors. A comparative study of Buddhist teachings and revelatory teachings shows that alignment is evident in the suffering of some factors, such as ignorance, dependence, and attachment; but it does not lead to a person being caught in reincarnation in the cycle of death and life, or Buddhist reckoning and, a person with good faith and good deeds leads to a sweet and good life and eternal happiness.
