Abstract
Has everything that was revealed as the Holy Qur'an to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) been written down during his lifetime? This article intends to answer this question only by referring to the verses of the Holy Quran. In the Holy Qur'an, writing and its importance are emphasized and the verses of the Qur'an show that writing was common and common at the time and place of the revelation of the Qur'an. Also, the writing of some topics such as occult and revelations is expected. In addition, the writing of some topics such as loan has been strictly ordered so that there is no dispute about it between people. Apart from all these cases, the Holy Qur'an has reported written parts of the Qur'an as a historical fact. This article has analyzed all the verses mentioned in the Qur'an with a descriptive-analytical method and using the semantic method. Based on these semantic analyses, it has been concluded that the writing of the entire Qur'an was expected in the era of its revelation, even though a complete copy of the Qur'anic verses that were written in Mecca or Medina by the companions of the Prophet is not available now.
